This module introduces the IEE user interface that anyone using IEE MDM needs to understand.

This module is designed for anyone responsible for configuring meters, service points, or accounts through Program-Based Configuration (PBC). It is a prerequisite for administrators or super-users who set up the PBC programs. To get maximum value out of this class you should already have a basic knowledge of the IEE MDM application and user-interface, service point model, and AMI functionality.

Module 4: FB09: Task Basics  

This module provides an overview of how tasks are created, how to use the Task Monitor and how to create one-time tasks applying task templates. Automated schedules are introduced as a source of these tasks.

Module 5: FB05: Validation, Estimation and Editing (VEE) Basics  

This module is designed for operators or basic users who are required to monitor validation queue exceptions and resolve them on the job. To get maximum value out of this class you should already have a basic knowledge of the IEE MDM application. This includes high level familiarity with how IEE MDM works, understanding of how it is configured, and training or experience in using its user interface.

Module 6: FB03: Meter Data Management (MDM) Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Overview  

Introduces the key terms, concepts and features of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) meter data management (MDM) using Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE). An overview of AMI technology, business impacts, dataflow and workflow are described. IEE MDM AMI tools such as interactive communications and monitors are briefly introduced.

Module 7: FB07: Monitoring AMI Readings Imports  

This module addresses AMI Readings Imports (ARI) process components and terminology; data flows, including the resubmit and retry processes, gap filling, handling of historical reads, and Workbin functions; use of the ARI Dashboard; and use of the Import Fail Queue.

Module 8: FB08: Monitoring AMI Billing Exports  

This module covers the AMI billing export process, how to monitor exceptions, suggested steps to investigate and resolve exceptions, tools such as the AMI Billing Export monitor, and the AMI Billing Exception Trend Analysis.

Module 9: FB06: Communicating with AMI Endpoints  

This module is designed for IEE MDM users responsible for completing manual two-way communications with AMI endpoints. To get maximum value out of this class you should already have a basic knowledge of the IEE MDM application, service point model, and AMI functionality. This includes training or experience in using the IEE MDM user interface.

Module 10: FB13: Working with External Systems

This module explains how to manage and monitor AMI Data Exports, create device event reports and exports, and manage the meter reading processes running through the Collection System Integration function. It not only covers routine tasks, but also configuration guidelines.

Module 16: FB17: Settlements

This module explains how to view the settlement dashboard, update the view of the data displayed in the Load Summary, Market Summary, and Daily Settlement Workbench panels.

Additionally, the module will review the process to submit data to, or request data from, the Market for zones or settlement points and export data for offline use.
